Apply NowThe Sports Operations Manager, Football will work in collaboration with the football support and student-athlete academic services departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office as well as experience with player databases. Additionally, successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong attention to detail. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education is preferred, along with an understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes.
This position serves a diverse student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for historically under-served populations and is expected to contribute to the program’s diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. This is an exempt position with work expected in the evenings and assigned weekends.
Roles and responsibilities:
Assists with the execution of all on-campus football, recruiting & special event programming, with a primary focus on official visits, unofficial visits, game day recruiting programming, and junior days.
Manages daily tasks ofUSC Football Game Day/Student Office Assistant Program.
Assists the recruiting team withcoach's travel, reimbursement forms, ticket requests, and additional clerical duties.
Assists therecruiting team with the logging ofall recruiting event ticket lists, staff tickets, practice guests, and recruiting correspondence.
Assists the recruiting team withthe logging of all compliance documentation.
Assists with all recruiting travel, including but not limited to, busses, rental cars, golf carts, etc.
Assists the recruiting team with duties as assigned to ensure first-class, mission-consistent experiences for future student-athletes andprocesses associated with all “off-the-field” activities.
Promotes an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold the principles of the USC Code of Ethics.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience.
Combined experience/education as a substitute for minimum education.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Player Management Databases.
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports-related field is ideal.
Salary Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $69,651.95-$83,530.19. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
