Assist in the overall health care delivery system for assigned athletic teams. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations.
Establish all medical preparations and coverage at practices and contests for the men’s ice hockey and women’s tennis programs, including the prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions of injuries and/or illnesses. Implement measures to prevent injuries and prepare athletes for practice and competition, including taping, bracing, therapeutic exercise, and wearable technology. (65%)
Assist and monitor physical rehabilitation of athletic related injuries. Apply therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and education to student-athletes while considering the physical and psychological aspects of their injuries. (20%)

MARGINAL DUTIES
1. Monitor and maintain all necessary recording instruments that track information related to the health, welfare and participation of our student-athletes. Review, revise, create, print, and keep available for use all necessary medical, procedural and policy forms. (5%)
2. Perform other duties as may be required.
•Master's Degree in related field from an accredited institution required
•National Athletic Trainers Association Certification
•Rhode Island Athletic Trainer License
•First aid and CPR Certification
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
•Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
•Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
•Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or ann(s), for example, using a keyboard
