Position Summary

The Strength and Conditioning Coach (Graduate Assistant) is responsible for assisting in the strength and conditioning of student athlets. The Strength and Conditioning Coach (Graduate Assistant) reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

This is a student position open to current

UIW

graduate students.

The start date for this position may be contingent upon reopening of the

UIW

campus.

Essential Functions

Responsible for all scheduling, training, testing, organization and administration of teams as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, this may include educating student-athletes in areas of nutrition and banned substances.

Assist directly with the football program as needed.

Responsible for maintenance of weight room, supplement areas and all equipment.

Work effectively with all Sports Medicine, Sport coaches, Administration and University staff.

Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

- Sincere desire and passion to assist student-athletes in reaching their athletic performance and personal goals. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Demonstrate a willingness to enforce weight room, UIW athletic department rules/ policies, and NCAA rules at all times. - Demonstrated proficiency in teaching the Olympic Lifts and their variations. - Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. - Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA. | | Required Education |
