Exempt Full-time Staff
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the weight room for assigned sports.
Maintain a safe and functional weight room.
Organize, develop and implement off-season and in-season training programs for specified sports.
Assist with special events in relation to Powell Fitness Center.
Assist in holistic student-athlete development for specified sports.
Skills

Knowledge of strength, conditioning, and speed development
Training Modules Required
Leadership and management workshops
Strength clinics/seminars
Technology training to meet university requirements.
Professional
Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s preferred
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Hold certification from either (CSCCa) as a Strength and Conditioning Certified Coach (SCCC) and / or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Experience in coaching related to strength, conditioning, and speed development.
Leadership and management experience
Ethics and integrity to work within rules of NCAA and the Western Athletic Conference

Excellent people skills, exhibiting ability to interact well with all levels of staff, faculty, and administration.
Excellent communication and professional skills
