The DASH team, as a part of the Academic Advising Unit in VPUE is seeking a Program Associate to support Student-Athlete Academic Advising, Success and Well-Being. A nod to the hyphen, DASH is the connection between student and athlete, signifying the development that takes place between these intersectional identities. The Stanford Athletics DASH team includes professional advisors specializing in Academic Advising and Student-Athlete Development.
DASH: Academic Advising: Undergraduate Advising Directors - UADs for Student-Athletes are full-time, professional staff within the Office of Academic Advising who partner closely with colleagues across campus to provide a comprehensive network of support that promotes a student’s academic success and furthers their intellectual goals. UADs for Student-Athletes specialize in:
DASH: Student-Athlete Success and Well-Being: A team of professional advisors in DASH who provide support in finding yourself and your community both in and out of sport. Student-Athlete Development advisors specialize in holistic advising that includes:
In this role, you will partner with the DASH Leadership Team (the Associate Dean of Academic Advising, the Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Success and Well-Being and the Lead UAD for Student-athletes) to provide administrative support in the development, implementation and assessment of a holistic program designed to support faculty and student-athletes with respect to missed class time as a result of competition related travel for 36 varsity programs and 850 student-athletes.
In this role, you will:
· Proactively collaborate with coaches and the Athletics Compliance office to compile travel schedules for all 36 varsity programs.
· Compile missed class dates for each varsity program each quarter.
· Provide missed class dates for faculty, UADs for Student-Athletes and student-athletes prior to the start of each quarter.
· Develop and implement a plan for streamlining and communicating these missed class dates directly with faculty, student-athletes and UADs for student-athletes at the beginning of each quarter.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, student-athletes and UADs for student-athletes regarding the scheduling, administration and proctoring of exams, given competition-related travel and missed class time.
· Responsible for ensuring that each team has a designed individual to proctor/administer exams and ensuring that this individual completes training in support of the Stanford Honor Code.
· Track and compile data related to student-athlete missed class time each quarter (i.e., number of missed classes per team/quarter, number of exams proctored/administered).
· Serve as the primary point of contact in the AARC for faculty, UADs for Student-Athletes and student-athletes regarding recording of classes.
· Work directly with faculty to support how best to make recorded lectures available to student-athletes.
· Responsible for ensuring that recorded lectures are shared only with student-athletes missing classes in support of competition-related travel.
· Serves as the lead for assessment efforts specifically related to increased travel demands.
· Develops surveys and evaluation tools to gather program data, and create reports to analyze data focused on student-athlete academic success and well-being holistically.
· Responsible for tracking the following data quarterly/annually: roster/season of travel, GPA, enrollment and major data.
· Support faculty and student-athletes through referral to DASH advisors, campus resources, as well as DAPER support resources (i.e., Student-Athlete Performance Team).
· Creating and updating content for DASH and the Academic Advising website.
· Managing and supervising student staff workers in the AARC.
· Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks. Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

· Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
· An ability to learn compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.

The expected pay range for this position is $66,560 to $85,000 per annum.
