GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Student-Athlete Success Coordinator will assist the Senior Associate Director of Athletics in maintaining compliance standards with all NCAA, Conference, State, and Institutional rules and regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing the department’s communication with different offices of the university to secure the overall success of student-athletes. As well as assisting with achieving department goals regarding corporate sponsorships and supervising specific sport programs as a sport administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Has obtained master’s degree or greater
Agrees with the mission and vision of Dallas Baptist University
Holds 3 years of experience within collegiate athletics
Is familiar with all NCAA DI and DII bylaws and institutional policies implemented to uphold them
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise athletic scholarship budgets and application of athletic aid to student athlete accounts in accordance with all NCAA, Conference, State, and institutional requirements.
Serve as the departmental liaison between Housing, Financial Aid, Admissions, Advising, Career Services, Student Services, and other student-facing departments on campus
Assist in the oversight of all NCAA, Conference, State, and institutional compliance standards
Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations in an effort to increase growth in corporate sponsorships of DBU Athletics
Aid in oversight of the department’s efforts to support student-athletes academically, increasing their academic success, retention rates, and graduation rates
Develop, plan, and implement professional development programming for student-athletes through the Patriots Prepared initiative
Serve as the DBU Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) liaison
Serve as sport administrator for assigned sport programs
As a sport administrator, oversee assigned team’s operational budges, assist coaches in fundraising and alumni engagement, and oversee the operation of events/contests
Other administrative duties as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with regular office hours between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Weekends and nights are also required for game work.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
