The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is a non-benefited position, responsible in assisting the Men’s Basketball Program. 

Essential Functions

This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.

1.    Coordinate and direct the JV Basketball Program.
2.    Help enter data into ARMS.
3.    Assist in recruiting quality student athletes.
4.    Assist in video and developing opponent scouting reports.
5.    Assist in on court coaching in workouts and practice.
6.    Assist with all aspects of reverse raffle.
7.    Team meal planning home and away.
8.    Oversee laundry, game uniforms and team equipment prep

9.    Supervise gameday and practice video uploads.
10.    Oversee social media updates.

Physical Demands
Walk, stand, bend, lifts, and moves constantly during working hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry/transport an object/equipment that weighs 50 lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-benefited supplemental coach position. Candidate may be required to work on Saturday – Sunday.  
 

Travel
This job requires travel with athletic team to competitions and events.  A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel.  Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Required Education and Experience

1.    Bachelor’s degree
2.    Six months of coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
3.    Knowledge of intercollegiate athletic rules and regulations
4.    Ability to evaluate physical performance related to intercollegiate competition
5.    Ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population
