This is a non-benefited supplemental coach position. This position is responsible for servicing as an Assistant Coach of the Strength & Conditioning program. This supplemental coach is responsible in assisting in the strength & conditioning coaching of national competitive NCAA II sports programs, which compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
Essential Functions
1. Assist with implementation of athletic conditioning and training protocols for all varsity sports in compliance with the University, NCAA, and Conference rules and regulations as mandated.
2. Assist in development of athlete’s diet / nutritional goals.
3. Assist in development of athlete’s flexibility and speed goals.
4. Must possess basic computer skills including, but not limited to Excel and Microsoft Word.
5. Must be CPR/First Aid Certified.
6. Must be able to communicate with Head Strength Coach, assigned sport coaches, and sports medicine staff.
7. General facility/equipment maintenance and routine cleaning as indicated.
8. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
9. Required to work 20-25 hours per week.
10. Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position

Physical Demands
Walk, stand, bend, lifts, and moves constantly during working hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry/transport an object/equipment that weighs 50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-benefited supplemental coach position. Candidate may be required to work on Saturday – Sunday.
Travel
This job requires travel with athletic team to competitions and events on occasion. A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Six months of coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
3. Knowledge of intercollegiate athletic rules and regulations
4. Ability to evaluate physical performance related to intercollegiate competition
5. Ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population
