This position is a part-time non-benefited supplemental coach position. This position is responsible assisting in the coaching of a national competitive NCAA II volleyball program, which competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (Women) and serve as Head Coach of the JV program
Essential Functions
This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.
1. Coordinate the recruiting of quality student-athletes for JV team.
2. Assist with monitoring and review of the volleyball program budget as it pertains to JV team.
3. Assist in maintaining equipment and apparel inventory.
4. Planning of practices and game strategies for JV team.
5. Organize and Conduct all phases of practice for the JV team.
6. Coordinate travel plans and arrangements for JV team.
7. Assist with office and clerical duties for JV team.
8. Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In some situations, the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. Must be able to lift raise or lower an object from one level to another (includes upward and pulling motion) of 50-75 lbs. and must be able to carry/transport an object/equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-benefited supplemental coach position. Candidate must be available Sunday-Saturday.
Travel
This job requires travel with athletic team to competitions and events. A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Six months of coaching experience at the collegiate level or club level or collegiate playing experience.
3. Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences including eligibility, recruiting and certification.
5. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
6. Ability to objectively evaluate physical performance and mental capabilities related to the intercollegiate athletic program.
7. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public.
8. Strong organizational, oral and written communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to protect confidential information and present a professional demeanor.
10. Team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible, and the ability to work under occasional pressure.
11. Ability to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural and diverse student population.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree.
2. Additional years of coaching experience.
