Position Description
Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications, the Cheer and Dance Coach will plan practice activities and instruct participants on dance and cheer routines, safety and techniques; develop routines for competition; assist with scheduling students for games and event coverage; and provide support for student development for participants. This is a part-time, temporary role slated to begin July 2025 and end August 2026.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; previous experience instructing dance, cheer, tumbling, stunt, and/or related choreography preferred.
The ability and willingness to exercise discretion and have sound professional judgement is required. Able and willing to work in a collaborative team environment.

Current certification in adult CPR/First Aid/AED is preferred.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $22.50 per hour
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
