Primary Role: Assistant Video Coordinator
• Video all workouts and practices.
• Prepare edits from workouts, practices, and games.
• Assist Coaches with scouting reports and video clips of opponents.
• Prepare video clips for team meetings and films sessions.
• Organize, Edit and Distribute digital playbook to players and staff.
• Upload games to Synergy at the conclusion of each contest.
• Prepare film edits of opponents.
Travel with team for various road trips, and handle all video needs.
Practice:
• Attend all practices and video, cut and prepare practice film and clips.
Oversee & coordinate filming of games and practice:
• archiving practice / game film to video server
• preparing video for study sessions & game day preparation
• creation of edits for staff as requested
• creation of team playbook
• loading media onto staff laptops / iPads with edits/media for out of office use
Video Scouting
• Maintain film exchange agreements with non-conference opponents
• Adhering to SEC film exchange rules
• Working with assistant coaches on all aspects of opponent scout (cutting of games,
creation of edits, quizzes and diagraming of plays)
Special Projects
• Develop and update offensive playbook.
• Assist with videoing team events as requested
• Creating videos to be used for the team internally or externally on
social media or in recruiting
Recruiting:
• Setup video’s in recruit’s hotel rooms for official visits
• Prepare film/edits for official visits.
• Setup Highlight videos on all MBB TV’s prior to official and unofficial visits.
• Prepare and develop positional videos for official and unofficial visits.
Knowledge of sports video editing software. Knowledge of Hudle SportsCode, Keemotion, Synergy Editor, & Noahlytics software is preferred. Ability to shoot and edit video for practice and games Ability to troubleshoot IT and AV problems as they relate to basketball activities. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Strong communication, organization, and team management skills.
