Tight End Coach- Athletics

The Assistant Coach (Tight End Coach) is responsible to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics for assisting in the management of a varsity intercollegiate sports program and team. Specific responsibilities include assisting the Head Football Coach on the offensive side of the football team.

Job Duties:

  • Coach Tight Ends
  • Know academic status of your position.
  • Recruit assigned area.
  • Implement offensive schemes that maximize the tight end’s role in the passing and running game.
  • Design specific plays and routes for the tight end position to exploit matchup advantages.
  • Collaborate with the offensive coordinator to integrate the tight end into the overall offensive strategy.
  • Analyze opposing defenses to identify weaknesses and develop game plans to attack them.
  • Prepare players for specific game situations and adjustments based on opponent tendencies.
  • Provide in-game coaching and adjustments based on on-field performance.
