Volunteer Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach – Goalkeeping

VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT WOMEN’S SOCCER COACH-GOALKEEPING

The Volunteer Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach-Goalkeeping is responsible for assisting with
the goalkeeping elements of a successful NCAA intercollegiate women’s soccer program. The
position reports directly to the head coach of women’s soccer. This position must be in
compliance with all NCAA and university rules and regulations and must display professional
integrity.

Duties include:

• Overseeing and coaching goalkeepers
• Coaching and instructing during practice and competition for goalkeepers
• Mentoring student-athletes
•
• Community engagement
• Fundraising
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach of women’s soccer

ID Camp and Youth Camp administration and operation

Required Experience:

• 3-years of intercollegiate level goalkeeping experience
• Experience with NCAA policies and procedures

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Additional Preferred:

• Master’s degree
• Successful, competitive experience as an intercollegiate soccer athlete, specifically a

goalkeeper.

• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA rules and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit quality student-athletes
• Coaching philosophy consistent and/or complementary to that of the women’s soccer

program

• Concern for the character, academic and athletic preparation of student-athletes
• Ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes,
department members, administrators, university faculty and staff, professional colleagues,
and the general public

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
