Job Summary

This position will allow for individuals to provide tutoring services to student-athletes as appointed through the Office of Student-Athlete Services. All tutoring appointments will take place in the Athletic Academic Center on the 3rd floor of the R. Douglas Hawkins Tower. As a tutor for the Office of Student-Athlete Services, it is imperative that tutors have a working understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to involvement with student-athletes. Failure to comply with NCAA regulations will automatically lead to the termination of your employment. If you have any questions regarding NCAA rules and how they apply to your tutorial activities, please contact the Office of Student-Athlete Services immediately.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be a current Troy University student enrolled full-time for Fall and Spring, part-time for Summer. (Please note – Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare exemption, students must be enrolled on a full-time basis for Fall and Spring, part-time for Summer.)
   
2. Must be knowledgeable in the subject matter area as well as producing a GPA of a 3.0 or above.
