Job Description:

Iowa State University is accepting applications for a Wrestler Development Coordinator to support the NCAA DI men’s program.  The successful candidate will show a commitment to adhering to university, Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations. The position will report to the Head Coach and include the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning practice sessions and competitive coaching situations
  • Attend practices and matches as part of the coaching staff
  • Effectively teach, mentor and coach to develop successful and well-rounded student-athletes (will not have on-mat duties)
  • Collaborate in the evaluation of individual developmental performance goals, as well as the implementation of development plans to fulfill those
  • Define athlete strengths, analyze data, and create, modify, and execute individual development plans for assigned wrestlers
