Iowa State University is accepting applications for a Wrestler Development Coordinator to support the NCAA DI men’s program. The successful candidate will show a commitment to adhering to university, Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations. The position will report to the Head Coach and include the following responsibilities:
The position will contribute to an environment conducive to the well-being and academic success of the student-athletes and must establish and maintain effective interactions with the coaches, university community, alumni, media and the public.
The ideal candidates will have strong working knowledge of wrestling; solid organization, decision making, analytical and database skills; be skilled at managing athlete performance tracking systems; and have effective teaching, coaching and mentoring skills. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Must be available and flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel with the team to assigned competitions.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience coaching wrestling at a highly competitive level (post high school).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coaching wrestling for a NCAA DI or elite-level program.
Strong experience preparing athletes for performance/competition.
